Guest-Ready Auracast Assistive Listening

Auracast is the next generation of Bluetooth broadcast audio, purpose-built for public and private broadcast use cases, including assistive listening. For event and meeting planners, that means a compliant, guest-ready system that replaces the friction of legacy hearing loop, infrared, or RF technology with a lightweight receiver each attendee can use the moment they sit down. Implecho plans Auri into your event from the proposal stage, so ADA compliance is one less thing to manage on-site.

FAQs

Is an assistive listening system required by ADA?

Yes. The Americans with Disabilities Act requires assistive listening systems in assembly areas that use audio amplification, based on seating capacity. Auri meets this requirement with app-free, Auracast broadcast audio.

How many Auri receivers does my event need?

The right number depends on your seating capacity and session format. Implecho can help you calculate the minimum required devices for your event and recommend a receiver count that keeps every attendee covered.

What is the standard range of the Auri™ broadcast system?

Each Auri™ TX2N transmitter broadcasts over 100 meters (328 ft) in all directions. If more coverage is required, the system can be expanded with additional TX2n transmitters in the repeater mode. Range will vary depending on environmental factors and other receivers such as earbuds or hearing aids may perform differently to the Auri RX1 Receiver.

Can multiple people ask a question at the same time?

Three people can speak simultaneously in one group. This means that if you have two speakers in a group, it leaves one channel open for questions. If preferred, you can use the “request to speak” feature to help coordinate your Q&A session.

Do attendees need to download an app to use Auri?

No. Auri receivers pair to the broadcast automatically. Attendees simply pick up a receiver, select their channel, and listen.

Can two attendees share one receiver?

Yes. Each Auri receiver has two 3.5mm output jacks, so two guests can listen from a single unit with their own earbuds, headphones, or neck loop.
